Common questions

Customers select the card option at checkout. A secure on-ramp converts their card payment into stablecoins (USDC/USDT) which settle directly to your wallet. From the customer's perspective, it looks and feels like a normal card payment. From yours, it's a final, irreversible crypto transaction with zero chargeback risk.
It means we never hold your money. When a customer pays, funds go directly from them to your crypto wallet. We generate unique payment addresses derived from your public key, monitor the blockchain for confirmations, and update your order status. We are a software layer, not a financial intermediary. We cannot freeze, withhold, or reverse your funds because we never control them.
No. We are built specifically for merchants that traditional processors categorize as "high-risk." Telehealth, CBD, supplements, adult content, firearms, kratom, nootropics -- if it's legal, we support it. We don't rely on card network rules or banking relationships that force other processors to drop merchants. Your business category is not our problem.
Our default payment method uses stablecoins (USDC and USDT), which are pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. There is no volatility. If a customer pays with BTC or ETH, you can enable auto-conversion to stablecoins. On paid plans, you can also opt in to automatic fiat settlement, which converts stablecoins to USD deposited into your bank account.
Install the GroundedPay app from the Shopify App Store, connect your wallet, and activate crypto checkout. When a customer selects GroundedPay at checkout, they see a branded payment page. Once payment is confirmed on-chain, the Shopify order is automatically marked as paid. Refunds, order management, and analytics all sync with your Shopify admin.
Because GroundedPay is non-custodial, we function as a software provider, not a money transmitter. Funds flow directly from customer to merchant without passing through our systems. This is consistent with FinCEN 2019 guidance on non-custodial wallet providers. We KYC all merchants at onboarding and maintain compliance documentation.
We support USDC, USDT, Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH) on Ethereum mainnet and Base (L2). Base transactions settle in seconds with negligible gas fees. We recommend stablecoins for most merchants as they eliminate currency risk entirely.
